Not satisfied with Justine's bad performance in her English class, Arnold is doing a spelling test with her. It's bad enough that she has no book to learn from; she pretends that she doesn't need that particular book at all. And she was told to prepare for the test the day before, which she didn't, so of course, she fails it completely. To teach her a lesson Arnold gives her a spanking with a birch rod. Maggy can't believe the lies the girl is intending to send back home. It's while the two girls are having a discussion about the letter - that Alex comes into the room. It doesn't take him long to understand what is going on. He decides that Amy must be punished immediately. Fetching the cane, he tells the poor girl that she will have to write another letter - telling the truth this time, meanwhile, he will keep on caning her until the letter is finished to his satisfaction.

Maggy is at home with lots of important homework to finish. However, as usual, she is easily side-tracked and finds herself playing a game on the PC instead of studying. When Alex enters the room to check on her, he catches her playing the game and orders her to stop immediately and get on with her homework. Maggy stubbornly continues with the game and ignores Alex completely. A very cross and upset Alex fetches a cane, and insists that as she's so determined to play the computer game, she must continue to play right until the end of the game. The only problem for Maggy is that Alex will cane her bottom throughout the whole game play, right to the end. Maggy's bottom is sure to be very striped and sore by the end of the game and she wishes she''d simply finished her homework instead.

Being alone at home, Justine didn't bother to clean up after herself in the bathroom that morning. When Arnold comes home, in the evening he sees her comfortably sitting in the living room with her feet placed on the table.
