Not satisfied with Justine's bad performance in her English class, Arnold is doing a spelling test with her. It's bad enough that she has no book to learn from; she pretends that she doesn't need that particular book at all. And she was told to prepare for the test the day before, which she didn't, so of course, she fails it completely. To teach her a lesson Arnold gives her a spanking with a birch rod. For every word she spelled wrong, the birch rod makes contact with her bare bottom.

Maggy is cooking dinner, when her best friend Tina comes in to take her out right away to get an autograph from a famous band, who are just next door. When Alex comes home, nobody is there, but all lights and the oven are still on. When she is home again, she can no longer hide her curiosity about the packet and opens it. What she then finds is: two new canes, two looped canes, a tawse and a really compact wooden paddle. Of course, Arnold finds out about Justine\'s disrespectfulness with regards to his packet and soon she finds herself over his knee with an angry Arnold trying out the new tools on her bottom. Tears guaranteed.

It has to be done - Maggy has to be spanked just like Kathrin was; after all she was just as guilty as her friend.
